SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING SPECIALIST | (SEO/SEM) JOB
We are looking for an SEO/SEM expert to manage all search engine optimization and marketing activities. You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize ROI.
Responsibilities
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
- Track, report, analyze and optimize website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Work with our in house creative team to develop effective display advertising campaigns.
- Analyze website analytics to identify opportunities to improve site conversions
- Evaluate user experience and test new site concepts to improve customer interaction.
- Research new e-commerce solutions and technology to improve customer experience
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
- Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Requirements
- 3+ years of SEO experience
- 3+ years of SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
- Must understand fundamentals of Google Analytics (AdWords and Analytics), valid certification is mandatory
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics)
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
- Must display strong analytical, verbal, and written skills, a gregarious personality and the ability to synthesize complex data into recommended actions.
- Must have experience using MS Excel (Pivot Tables) for analysis.
- e-commerce marketing experience will be also a plus
Training is done on the job, and includes in-house and external training courses. As the IT industry continues to develop it is vital to keep up to date with new software and technology. The normal progression route for a search engine marketing specialist (SEO/SEM) is to become a senior or digital marketing manager/director.
Search engine marketing specialist (SEO/SEM) will usually work as part of a team, which will include a web designer/developer and an account manager.
Hours and environment
- Search engine marketing specialist (SEO/SEM) normally works between 37 and 40 billable hours a week, 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Additional extra billable hours may be required to meet deadlines, which could include evenings and weekends. It is possible to be self-employed and work from home. Part-time and flexible hours may be available.
- It is usual to work in an open-plan office environment. A limited amount of travelling may be required.
